Heliskiing in Europe means: rapid access and departure, no Jetlag,
reasonable prices and last but not least fun and thrill similar to the origin of
HeliSkiing Canada. More than 3 dozen of Helicopter landing places various
possibilities to ski downhill are offered by (two of the biggest) HeliSkiing
regions in Europe. Long runs as well as
difficult ones in the middle of many 3.000 m mountains will offer a wide range
for every type of HeliSkiing. |

Places to land lie up to 3.500 m (Grand Rousse/Valgrisenche) and
up to 3.700 m (Aiguille de Glacier/Courmayeur). They are still
outshined by some fourthousanders (Mt.Blanc, Matterhorn, Monte Rosa, Grand
Paradiso). You will not find any ski lifts or cable cars, but you are likely
to see eagles, chamois or marmots... |

flair. You can already sense the nature plays a dominant role in this lovely
valley, when you are on the 30 km drive towards our hotel. During the winter
the area is a paradise for all sorts of sport, especially for HeliSkiing of
course.

Board/Lodging
Courmayeur: we will based in comfortable Hotel Suisse, from where we will start
every morning. The hotel is situated directly
at the accessroad to the Mt.Blanc (European highest mountain: 4.810 m). The
hotel has a very nice and warm atmosphere. The
walls are dressed with old wood. Doubleroom, breakfast and the shuttle to the
helicopter is included.
Valgrisenche: This hotel is situated just a few meters walk away from the
helicopter landing spot. Rooms (double) are simple
but very suitable (normally with shower/bath). The owners are very nice and
offer a rich choice of italian food specialities.
We will get full board and all meals in house (Lunch: only if we are in the
valley). |
Once we are there
After breakfast at about 08.30h a.m. we will meet at the
helicopter for a short briefing and a check of the material
(Orthovox). The helicopter will then drop us off at the
landings spots in groups of four people. We will meet the
rest of the team up there (4 + 1 or 8 + 2). The individual
runs will last from 40 to 90 minutes depending on exoerience,
skills and routes (1.300 - 2.300 meters). It is obligatory to
follow the instruction of our guide who will carefully analize
the snow conditions. Safety first is our rule. We will experience
a fantastic panorama and countryside but this should not keep our
eyes from the still imminent dangers that nature represents.
Natures forces as weather, Snowfall and avalanches are never 100% predictable.
Nevertheless our guide will try to adapt speed and routes to your personal
skills and needs. You may then spend the afternoon as you wish. Dinner will be
served at ca. 8 p.m. |
